Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor, best well-known for his part in the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. Since his time in university Christopher Meloni was fascinated by the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been in films and in television shows however, it's his characters portrayed on small screens that has earned him fame. His ability to play characters on both sides of law is what has caught the attention of viewers. He played the part of a serial killer in the first TV series he appeared in however he later chose to play the role that of a NYPD detective. For his work in the small screen, he's been up for nomination numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. One of his most distinctive facial traits is believed to have been the piercing blue eyes which have allowed him to portray characters who appear rough and fascinating. The actor was featured as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
