Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles on the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. He identified his interest towards acting from his days in college and studied acting in the University of Colorado at Boulder. He's appeared in TV and films, however the small screen characters which gained him fame as well as a large audience. The actor is able to create characters that reflect both the good and bad side in the law enforcement system. He can draw the attention of viewers effortlessly. His first project was a television show, and later, he played an officer for the NYPD. He was repeatedly recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards.
