Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actor and musician who made her name with clever raps that tackled gender and ethnic identities from a a boldly comic perspective. Her career then grew into Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents in Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was in the form of the trumpet. Additionally, she was given classical and jazz training later when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism, and women's studies at college, even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. Not until after graduation did she start focusing on music. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured in her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits, such as body positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC BitcheUSD. The last track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide which was published in 2015. Alongside having published a book as well, she also worked as a performer. Apart from the early television programs like Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
